Lover’s Lodestar

Small as a lover’s hand, Lover’s Lodestar was said to hold the magic of moonlit promises. Each delicate point of its star-shaped lace traced the path of forgotten dreams, its threads soft as whispered words in the still of the night. By the soft light of the moon, it was said to glow faintly, as though it carried the light of a distant star, guiding those lost in longing back to the one they sought.

In secret, it was often placed beneath pillows or worn close to the heart, where its star could keep watch over unspoken wishes. Many believed that whoever held it would find their way to the one they were destined to meet, or at least, that their hearts would never stray too far from the light of love’s pull. But some also whispered that it held more than that — for lovers torn apart by distance or time would sometimes see their star shift in the dark, as if it knew their desires before they did.
