Collected as a single intact shell. Form shallow and curved, with pronounced radial ridges extending from a central point toward the outer edge. No fractures observed. Interior surface smooth; exterior structured and evenly patterned.
Structure holds. No visible change following preparation.
Copper adheres first at the central point, then progresses outward and downward along the ridges toward the edge. Deposition follows the existing structure, settling into the pattern without obscuring it. Interior surface plates fully and evenly, forming a smooth continuous layer.
Variation between specimens expected in depth of ridging and curvature. Underlying structure remains consistent.
Margin note: Shell too small to hear the ocean, I tried.
