Lys' Leaf

Lys closes it at the front, not out of convenience, but because that’s where it belongs. The leaf isn’t a detail tucked away. It’s the point of contact, the place where everything comes together. Their fingers linger there for a moment after fastening it, not adjusting, just feeling how it holds. The small green bead shifts once, catching the light, then settles back into the line.

It doesn’t sit the way people expect. The weight pulls slightly to one side, the shape refusing to centre itself. It looks like it could move, like it might change if left alone long enough, but it doesn’t. It holds exactly where it chose to be. Some things simply aren’t meant to be made symmetrical.
