Collected as a single mature leaf. Form defined by pronounced spines along the outer edge, evenly spaced but varied in length. Central vein remains firm; surface slightly convex.
Drying produces subtle curling across the surface, occurring in both directions rather than along a single axis. The leaf does not settle flat. Tension distributes irregularly, creating slight shifts in angle across the plane.
Copper adheres evenly across the surface without favouring the spines. No excess build-up observed at the points. Patina develops unevenly, following the altered surface — warmer and darker tones settling in response to the opposing curves.
No comparable specimens available.
Margin note: Spines remain sharp. Drew blood during handling. Discolouration noted.
