I remember the weight of time pressing down, the slow drift of sepia over marble and moss. I have lingered where names are forgotten, where prayers curl into the soil and vanish. The ginkgo trembles above me, its leaves whispering secrets I carry still.
Bronze and copper have darkened in my grasp, pearls catching what little light survives in this hollowed place. I am the sigh between stone and leaf, the echo of footsteps that never return, the hush that settles when the wind moves too softly.
I hold what is left behind — the fading, the mourned, the beautiful that lingers in decay. And I wait, patient, for the one who will hear me and walk a little longer in my sepia shadow.
