Don’t let the lace fool you — this is no sweet little granny doily. Well… unless your granny also told ghost stories by candlelight and kept a jar of suspicious herbs on the mantel.
Death’s Doily is a crochet garden where skulls bloom instead of roses, their grins stitched wide as if they’re in on some joke you haven’t heard yet. The pattern loops and twirls like a dance at the underworld’s spring fête, every stitch a step between “ooh, pretty!” and “oh… wait… are those skulls?”
Throw it on a table and watch it transform a polite tea into a mischievous gathering of ghouls. Place it under a cake stand and suddenly the sponge tastes a little more… haunted. It’s not morbid — it’s merry in the way only the dearly departed can be, full of charm, wit, and a hint of mischief from the other side.
It’s lace with a wink. A little reminder that life is short, death is inevitable, and both deserve excellent table décor.
