Recovered as a claw segment with intact pincer structure. Form is elongated, with a gradual taper toward the tips. The joint remains clearly defined, separating the thicker base from the opposing arms.
Drying produces no observable distortion. Structure remains unchanged.
Copper adheres first at the point of connection, then progresses along the length of the claw. Deposition gathers along the outer curve and within the natural pitting of the carapace, building more heavily where the surface is irregular. The pincer edges remain defined; no bridging occurs between the opposing arms.
Variation between specimens is limited. Differences occur mainly in size, curvature, and degree of surface wear. The underlying structure remains consistent.
Colouration remains predominantly copper, with isolated areas of blue and green forming along recessed sections and near the tip.
Margin note: Pincer alignment remains intact. The copper has set the arms in place. It no longer pinches me.
